Like nearly all businesses, SMMPA and its employees take recycling serious and make every effort to separate recyclables from non-recyclables in our offices.  Where practical, we buy materials made with recyclable content. 

On a much larger scale, SMMPA and its contractors have made a strong commitment to recycling building waste in the construction of SMMPA’s most recent generation additions – the natural gas plants at Fairmont and Owatonna.  For example, we estimate that roughly 126,000 pounds of wood waste was recycled at each of the plants.
