Nancy Kelly, Energy Services Rep for Litchfield Public Utilities, and Litchfield Mayor Ron Dingmann presented AutoZone with the rebate check. The Litchfield AutoZone store opened in June this year. The project included new LED fixtures which are more efficient than standard fluorescent fixtures. The project qualified for a rebate of $2,843.  The store is open over 12 hours per day, so the savings really add up. The project has a payback period of less than 10 months. This project reduces annual greenhouse gas emissions equivalent to taking 5 cars off the roads.

Litchfield Ace Hardware opened earlier this year and the city finally has its own hardware store! The project included new LED fixtures which are more efficient than standard fluorescent fixtures. The project qualified for a rebate of $2,262.  This project reduces annual greenhouse gas emissions equivalent to planting four acres of forest. Mike said, “We are off to a great start. In our first year we won the Readers’ Choice Award for Best Hardware Store.” Congrats!

Nancy Kelly, SMMPA Energy Services Rep, and Litchfield Mayor Ron Dingmann presented Chadd Benson, Civic Arena Manager, with his rebate check. This project included replacing 375 inefficient 4-foot fluorescent lamps with energy-efficient LED lamps. The project qualified for a total rebate of $901, with estimated annual energy savings of $1,300. Chadd said, “Everyone had positive comments on the brightness of the new lights.” This project reduces greenhouse gas emissions equivalent to planting ten acres of forest.

This project included replacing five hundred inefficient 4-foot fluorescent lamps with energy-efficient LED lamps. The project qualified for a total rebate of $1,416, with estimated annual energy savings of $3,060. This project reduces greenhouse gas emissions equivalent to planting twenty-eight acres of forest.
